Box

Watching despondently as you subconsciously, neatly place me in a box

Pondering, with the fastening of each corner of the lid…

Shall awareness come that it’s you within your box, not I?

Walking away, hoping to recognize boxes I create

Boxes

Reflection

All we observe a mirror

Every being and thing

Mere reflections of learned perceptions

Revealing more of ourselves than of external entities

Yet, gazing in a mirror

We look not upon ourselves

But ponder what others see

How then shall we see others and ourselves for what we truly are?

Will awareness slowly come through recognizing

Parts of ourselves in all others

Parts of all others in ourselves

Perhaps not so dissimilar after all
