Spirit Rock

An exploratory nature walk at Spirit Rock A bridge over a creek A piece of trash in the creek inviting me down Plastic swaying to and fro in running water Judging its place in this world Picking it up to bring it to its brethren Presuming it happier there Walking up stream Feeling sand and gravel shift under bare feet Fresh water streaming around ankles Thankful for left trash which altered my path Leaving imprints, changing the flow Impacting what lay in my path One with impermanence Placing the plastic in the receptacle Returning indoors for another round of meditation
